Nottingham is located in the geographic heartland of England. It has excellent connections to cities around the UK, and further afield in Europe and the rest of the world, by air and rail.
From the UK
Nottingham is well served by the UK rail network, with up to four trains an hour making the 1 hour 45 minutes journey from London. There are also regular direct services to Edinburgh, Birmingham, Liverpool, Cardiff, and Manchester.
From Europe
The high-speed Eurostar brings you to Nottingham from Paris or Brussels in 4 hours. Direct flights to East Midlands Airport (EMA), located on the outskirts of Nottingham, come from almost 100 European cities, with a 40 minute transfer into the city.
From elsewhere
Fly to Birmingham International (BHX) or Manchester (MAN), from where a frequent train service will get you to Nottingham in under two hours. Direct connections from the major London airports, Heathrow (LHR) and Gatwick (LGW), will take 3 to 4 hours: alternatively delegates might wish to travel via interchanges in the centre of London. This is a good option for those wishing to spend a day or two in the capital before or after the conference.
