You can book the optional stuff that you want to add to your conference package now and save a little money by taking advantage of the Early Bird discounts. It also helps us massively to plan things if we have an early idea of numbers.
Alternatively you can book your conference package now and then log back into your booking later on to add the extras but remember that some are capacity limited and the early birds run out at the end of May.
Sponsors who have a conference pass included within their sponsorship will need to book and pay for any options that they require in addition.
Hackathon
Do you want to change the world for the better? The global geohack, on the 17th and 18th September, will give you the chance to get your hands on all of the latest open source software and to take up a challenge to help build something useful. The geohack is free to attend. Visit the Geohack pages to find out more and to register.

Workshops
The Pre-conference Workshop Registration is now closed due to demand. If there are last-minute spaces available, these will be advertised at the Conference Desk and on the conference website. These spaces will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the standard workshop charge will be payable.
Additional workshops take place throughout the main conference days, these will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis. The sign-up list for each workshop will be available on the day near the Conference Desk. These workshops are free to attend for delegates with a valid conference pass for the relevant day.
Gala Night
The Gala Night is a FOSS4G spectacular event that you will not forget. It includes copious drinks, a lavish meal, quirky entertainment , maybe some music and certainly a latish night all hosted in our special GeoCamp. The Gala Night is on the evening of the 19th September.
You only need to book the Gala Night if you have not booked the full conference package (i.e. you are on a Student discounted pass or a day pass).

Closing Party
FOSS4G conference sessions will finish on the afternoon of Saturday 21st September. Many delegates will be staying over on the Saturday night either to attend the codesprints on the 22nd or for a regional OSGeo meeting or just to fit in with their travel plans. We didn’t want you to get geo-withdrawal symptoms so we have scheduled a laid back evening to close the party – beers, burgers, pizza and an Open Mike Night (that’s mike as in microphone). We’ve got a few more ideas up our sleeves but you will have to come along to find out how we are going to create a memorable finish to what we hope will have been the best FOSS4G ever.
